These destinations are just a few minutes away from our property, where powerful and consistent waves are part of daily life.
Baleal, with its various beaches, is perfect for those seeking a variety of conditions and a more relaxed atmosphere.
On the other hand, Areia Branca Beach is ideal for those looking to escape the crowds, with its perfect waves and stunning landscapes. Whether you’re seeking adventure in the sea or simply want to relax by the beach, the region offers everything you need for a unique surfing and relaxation experience.
A bit farther away, we have the World Surfing Reserve, Ericeira. Ericeira was designated as a World Surfing Reserve in 2011, becoming only the second place in the world, and the first in Europe, to receive such prestigious recognition. It is internationally known for its surfing conditions and is just 30 minutes from Pata da Gaivota.
Ericeira hosts several surf events throughout the year, including professional competitions like the MEO Rip Curl Pro Portugal, which is part of the World Surf League (WSL).

Pata da Gaivota was born as a business in early 90’s aimed to provide the best experience. This cozy Villa complex with two private houses and six rooms is located in a quiet & rural location in the very well known Silver Coast, surrounded by a clear green landscape and Ocean view.

UpRise is a family of passionate surfers dedicated to teaching beginners and intermediates how to surf the best waves ever. Certified by the Portuguese Federation of Surfing, UpRise founders are graduates in Physical Education and Sports.
